PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Interested in gaining a mechanistic understanding of dynein-based mRNA transport machineries assembly and function, I attempt to characterize protein-protein and protein-mRNA interactions which have been proposed or predicted by screens done in our lab. I am using this knowledge to reconstitute dynein-based RNA-transport systems with the aim to unravel the essential cellular parts for dynein-RNP cargo coupling.
